Outline:
A parish of approximately 1000 persons situated on the South bank of the river Stour some three miles south of Blandford Forum. Spetisbury is a linear dormitory village surrounded by working arable and dairy farms. There are also watercress beds and a spring water bottling plant. Spetisbury primary school is a thrivingrecently extended/modernised educational facility with spiritual support from the 15th century church situated next door.

A parish plan is being compiled with the central theme surrounding the construction of a new village hall complex.

There is one free house pub/restaurant situated centrally in the village. Fine, long views are afforded from the iron age ring fort and the medieval bridge adjacent to the village.
