Outline:
A parish of approximately 1500 persons situated on the south bank of the river Stour adjacent to Blandford. The parish is bisected by the Blandford by-pass. The Hall & Woodhouse Brewery is a large local employer are Tesco and Homebase stores. Youth facilities include a popular Skate Park and Play Park. St Mary C of E Primary School and St Mary C of E church provide educational and spiritual support.
Current Activity:
According to the 2001 census the population of Stourpaine was 608 residents.

Current concerns are -
- development of community facilities such as play areas
- activities for all ages in the Village Hall
- overwhelmingly transport and the main road (A350) that divides the village.
- better and cheaper bus services,
- better cycling and riding routes
