Broadband Project
"To improve the Broadband delivery level to everybody in North Dorset."
The CPEND Broadband project review (see below) shows that 32% of North Dorset has internet speeds of 2 mbps or lower. To improve this, we need to make our views known to government, BT and other broadband providers.
CPEND (Community Partnership Executive for North Dorset) which is a body made up of, amongst others, the four community partnerships in Shaftesbury, Blandford, Gillingham and Sturminster Newton carried out the survey and the results were presented at a meeting on Friday 13th May 2011. This will be a base for the planning phase two of the Broadband Project.
